Rowing boats used for fishing. Fishermen vain at sea with small nets or fishing rods. The sea and the sun do the rest. Small wooden boats without motor and brightly colored.
The gozzo, is the name of these boats loved by all because they remember the history of the land of Sicily, Acitrezza and the malavoglia. Historical family told by the writer Verga.
